Der Geopark in Yehliu ist mit fast 3 Millionen Besuchern pro Jahr [*] eines der beliebtesten Touristenziele Taiwans. Die bizarren Erosionsformen entlang der Halbinsel sind einzigartig in Taiwan und durchaus einen Besuch wert. Diesmal war ich mit Besuchern aus Deutschland in dem Park. Unsere Tour führte auf der Landstraße 2 entlang der Nordküste von Keelung, über Yehliu, Fuguijiao Leuchtturm nach Tamsui. Das regnerische und stürmische Wetter unterstrich den rauen Charakter der Nordküste. Die Reise war auch eine gute Gelegenheit Fotos außerhalb Taipeis zu machen.
With nearly 3 million visitors per year [*], the Geopark in Yehliu is one of the most popular tourists spots in Taiwan. The bizarre looking erosional landforms along the peninsula are unique in Taiwan and worth a visit. This time I went there with visitors from Germany. Our tour started in Keelung and we drove along national road 2 to Yehliu. From there we took the road along the coast to Fuguijiao lighthouse and then back to Tamsui. The rainy and stormy weather on that day matched well to the rough appearance of the north coast. The trip was also a nice opportunity for me to take photos outside of Taipei.
