Redscale film, the psychedelic brother of black and white film.

After a longer break I went back to redscale film. I still had old rolls of Lomography Redscale XR 120 and thought let’s give it a chance. I was not very happy with the results of Rollei Redbird Redscale 400 film, as it was too grainy for my taste. Additionally, for some odd reason I also decided to give my crappy Lomo Lubitel 166 another chance.

This time, to my surprise, everything worked out pretty nice. The camera is still somewhat annoying to use, especially the viewfinder and focusing are bad. Therefore, some of the images are completely out of focus. However, the strong vigneting of the lens creates a pretty nice look of the images with a bright orange glowing center and dark red corners.
