Random Photos of Taipei #2 and some comments about Fujicolor Natura 1600

Die Fotos habe ich im Dezember 2017 und Januar 2018 in Taipei aufgenommen. Zum ersten Mal habe ich den Film Fujicolor Natura 1600 verwendet. Es war auch das erste Mal, dass ich einen Film mit so hoher ISO Zahl benutzt habe.  Ursprünglich hatte ich mit sehr körnigen Fotos gerechnet, doch zu meiner Überraschung ist der Film sehr feinkörnig. Feinkörniger als so mancher günstige ISO 400 Film. Mir hat die Flexibilität dieses Films sehr gut gefallen. Durch die hohe ISO Zahl war es möglich in verschiedensten Lichtsituationen zu fotografieren, ohne dass man gleich ein Stativ brauchte. Nur an sonnigen Tagen stieß meine Minolta XD-7 mit ihrer schnellsten Verschlusszeit von 1/1000s und einer kleinsten Blende von f/16 an ihre Grenzen. Mit einer anderen Kamera und Objektiv lässt sich diese Problem leicht umgehen. Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich mit dem Film sehr zufrieden. Leider ist der Film mit einem Preis um etwa 12 Euro kein Schnäppchen. Jedoch ist er das Geld durchaus wert, wie ich finde.

I took these photos in December 2017 and January 2018 in Taipei. It was the first time that I used Fujicolor Natura 1600. Also the first time that I used a film with such a high ISO number. I expected quite strong grain, but to my surprise the film has a very fine grain. Even finer than some cheaper ISO 400 films. I also appreciated the flexibility of a high ISO film. It allowed to take photos in a wide range of different lighting conditions without the need for a tripod. However, on sunny days the Minolta XD-7 reached its limits with maximum shutter speed of 1/1000s and f/16 as smallest aperture. With another camera and lens it would be easy to compensate for this. Overall I am very satisfied with the results. Only downside is the price of around 12 Euro for the film, which is already on the higher end for a film. In my opinion the film is worth the money.
