Amazing Results with My Refurbished Olympus 35DC and Agfa APX 100

After giving my Olympus 35DC a fresh look with new navy blue leatherette and replacing the light seals, I was eager to see how the camera would perform. I loaded it with a roll of Agfa APX 100 and set out to capture some scenes around Taipei in June 2019. I’m pleased to report that the refurbishment was a success. The camera performed flawlessly—no light leaks, smoother film transport, and even the light meter seemed to function better than before.

The following are some of the images from this test roll. The film was developed using Ilford Ilfotec LC29 (diluted 1+19) for 7 minutes and 45 seconds at 19°C. These shots reflect not only the beauty of Taipei but also the renewed reliability of my Olympus 35DC.

North coast of Taiwan near Keelung
Along the north coast of Taiwan between Keelung and Yehliu you can find many Greek-style restaurants and cafes. They even have Greek names like ‘Mykonos’ or ‘Santorini’. It looks so out of place and I wonder how this started.
