Random Photos of Taipei/Taiwan #8 (Olympus 35DC and Agfa APX 100)

After refurbishing my Olympus 35DC with a new leatherette and light seals, it was time to test if everything works fine. And yes, the results are great. No light leaks, the film transport works better now, and it seems that the light meter is also working better now. Here are some of the photos from the test film taken in June 2019. Developed with Ilford Ilfotec LC29 (1+19) for 7:45 min at 19°C.

Old military dorm. There are still plenty of them in Taipei and other places. They were built to accommodate soldiers who came with Chiang Kai-shek to Taiwan.

Near Dawulun Fort is this outlook point with a view over entire Keelung. On this day some guys where there to release homing pigeons. Homing pigeons are very popular in Taiwan. Especially in the countryside you can see plenty of pens.

No, this is not in Greece. Still in Taiwan at the north coast near Keelung. Keelung Island is in the background.

Along the north coast of Taiwan between Keelung and Yehliu you can find many Greek-style restaurants and cafes. They even have Greek names like ‘Mykonos’ or ‘Santorini’. It looks so out of place and I wonder how this started.
